Development Project Officer / Social Housing
£25,018 rising to £26,334 p.a. after probationary period
Our client owns and manages over 9,000 properties in Somerset, Devon and Dorset.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for 2 Development Project Officers to join their team based in Yeovil. The role is to work with business development managers and development officers in the delivery of the group's development target. Your main responsibilities will include assisting in the day to day operations and activities of the business development team, representing the organisation at public consultation events and gathering and presenting information outlining proposed schemes. You will also be expected to assist in preparing bids for funding, undertake project appraisals and assist in the negotiation of terms with landowners, developers and planning authorities.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will ideally be educated to degree level. It is essential that you have experience of working within a residential development environment, ideally with a housing association, and that you have excellent organisational skills and the ability to use IT systems for accurate record keeping and audits. You must have a full UK driving licence (ideally clean) and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
