Tenancy Relations and Enforcement Officer

Permanent
Based at Greenbank – Hartlepool
37 hours per week

Vela was established in 2011 and brought together Housing Hartlepool and Tristar Homes, which together have over 17,000 homes.  Vela is strongly committed to delivering sustainable communities.  Working closely with local authorities and other agencies, we are improving and building homes, enhancing the local environment and the neighbourhoods of Hartlepool and Stockton Boroughs.

 

The position will be based with the Tenancy Relations and Enforcement Team (TRET) providing a customer focussed service to residents, staff and our partners covering breach of tenancy, anti social behaviour, criminal behaviour and abuse to staff. 

 

We are looking for someone who is committed to working with our dedicated team, who is determined to tackle serious cases of Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) adversely impacting our communities.

 

You will have experience delivering high quality customer service to a wide range of clients.  Your responsibilities will include investigating the most serious reports of nuisance/ harassment and breaches of tenancy using problem solving skills to analyse causes with aim of solution.  You will be required to complete legal documentation and self represent at court hearings. You will attend multi agency meetings on behalf of Vela, during which you will work closely with partners such as the police, and local authorities developing action plans to tackle individuals and issues on our estates, ensuring our tenants live in a peaceful and quiet environment free from Anti Social Behaviour.  You will need to have a flexible approach and have the ability to work both within a small team and with minimal supervision.

 

Excellent communication skills, organisational skills and an assertive and confident approach when dealing with difficult situations are essential.

 

Ability to move independently around the Borough and North East area
