Support and Housing Worker

Swindon (commutable from Cirencester, Chippenham, Lambourn, Newbury, Purton and surrounding areas)

Salary £17,246 - £17,897 rising to £19,756 per annum pro rata

Part Time, Permanent (20 hours per week)

 

Our client has exciting opportunities for two Support and Housing Workers to be responsible for providing housing-related support to residents with diverse and enduring mental health needs as well as day to day housing and scheme management of their mental health supported housing project in Swindon.

 

In this pivotal role you will work consistently within our clients values, standards, policies and procedures, with specific regard to ensuring excellent customer service. Assisting residents with applying for and maintaining benefits you will guarantee they are clear regarding their responsibilities for rental payments.

 

Other duties will include dealing with appropriate referrals, queries, requests for information or assistance, ensuring that any follow-up action is documented in accordance with defined guidelines where necessary.

 

The ideal candidates will have a methodical approach to work and self motivation to complete tasks to the required quality and within timescales. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records is essential. You will be able to communicate well face to face, in writing and over the telephone. Knowledge of working with Microsoft office applications including word, excel, outlook, powerpoint and visio and previous experience of housing management is desirable.
