How do I apply for a vacancy?
Applying for a vacancy is simple. Just identify a suitable role and complete the
application. The amount of information you are required to submit will depend on
the individual requests of those advertising. Whilst some companies utilise an online
application form to obtain role specific information others may simply require just
a few contact details and a copy of your CV.

Do I have to register my details?
Yes. This is so we can set up a dedicated profile page for you. Please be assured
that your details will not be sent to another company or used in relation to any
vacancy other than those you have specifically applied for.
There are several benefits to setting up an account on Housing Jobs. Not only will
you be able to set up job alerts to ensure that you are notified of suitable vacancies
which match your requirements but you can also keep track of applications made online
and communicate directly with recruiters.

How do I check the status of my application?
- If the recruiter has asked you to submit your details via our online application
process:
Once your details have been received you will be sent an acknowledgement from Housing
Jobs. You will then be contacted directly by the recruiter and notified of the next
stage should your application be shortlisted.
You will also be provided with the ability to communicate directly with the recruiter
should you have any questions regarding your application.
- If the recruiter has asked you to submit your details via a specific URL, or apply
offline e.g. by post or email:
Unfortunately you will not be able to track the status of your application via your
Housing Jobs profile.

How much does it cost?
The cost to advertise a single vacancy for 4 weeks on one of the Housing Jobs Websites
is just £50 per vacancy.
However as credits are valid for 18 months, by buying credits in bulk this cost
can be reduced to just £37.50 per vacancy.

How can I pay for my advert?
We accept payment online, alternatively you can pay by cheque or BACS upon receipt
of invoice. Credits paid by cheques or BACS will be subject to an authorisation
process. All credits awaiting authorisation will be marked at pending.

How long are vacancies advertised?
Vacancies can be advertised for a maximum of 28 days. However, you can choose to
have your vacancies listed for a shorter period of time. Vacancies can also be closed
early by editing the vacancy details via the recruiter login.

How will I receive candidate details?
Our website is designed to reflect your process, therefore the way you receive your
details will vary according to your chosen options as outlined below.
Online applications
If you require candidates to complete a bespoke online application form or simply
submit basic contact details and upload a CV, details of all candidates that apply
to your vacancy will be accessible via your recruiter profile.

Direct to a specific URL
Housing Jobs offers the facility to direct all candidates to a specific URL. If
you choose this method, we will not be able to provide access to details of applicants
via your Housing Jobs recruiter profile.

Offline methods (including downloadable applications and those submitted by email)
If you have chosen to receive applications offline, i.e. requested that candidates
complete a paper based application form or follow specific instructions you have
provided, we will not be able to provide details of candidates via your Housing
Jobs recruiter profile.

How can I enhance my vacancy?
There are several opportunities for you to enhance your vacancy listings. Please
see below for an outline of the available options:
Featured Recruiter - Place your logo on the homepage and link through to
a dedicated profile about your company and a list of current vacancies which can
also be used to centralise candidates from other external sources.
Featured Job Section - Limited to a maximum of 4 vacancies, advertising your
vacancy in the featured job section on our home page your role will be seen be every
candidate who visits our site to ensure maximum levels of exposure.
Banner Advertising - Advertise your company and provide a direct link to
your vacancies or website through a banner at the top of each of our pages. Limited
to a maximum of 4 companies your company banner will rotate to provide maximum exposure
as candidates navigate throughout the site.
Sky Scraper Advertising - Sky Scraper Adverts are situated down the right
hand side on all pages of our website. These will provide candidates with direct
access to your vacancies or website as they navigate throughout the web site.
